I was inspired to do this painting to honor Spring, a season of new color, life and hope. This male Golden Weaver is displaying his wings in hopes of finding a mate. It reminded me a bit of Angels Wings.
Drawing, painting, and nature have been constant passions throughout my life. Although mostly self-taught I have had the privilege of studying under the tutelage of some very successful and accomplished artists from New York to Singapore to Connecticut. I am inspired by things I have seen and experienced in places like Borneo-Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, India, Austria and Prague, as well as the quaint sea side tourist/artist town of Mystic, Connecticut. I am grateful for every day, try to live in the moment as much as possible, and enjoy the beauty and gifts that surround me. I do hope you enjoy my work.
