One day during a walk I found myself worrying about a rose bush I planted in my garden because it was not doing well, and I was afraid it would die. Instantly, I knew deep inside that the rose would bloom & felt a sense of peace. Sure enough it did bloom that year for the first time, but although the plant is still alive it has never bloomed since. Good thing I snapped the picture.
Drawing, painting, and nature have been constant passions throughout my life. Although mostly self-taught I have had the privilege of studying under the tutelage of some very successful and accomplished artists from New York to Singapore to Connecticut. I am inspired by things I have seen and experienced in places like Borneo-Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, India, Austria and Prague, as well as the quaint sea side tourist/artist town of Mystic, Connecticut. I am grateful for every day, try to live in the moment as much as possible, and enjoy the beauty and gifts that surround me. I do hope you enjoy my work.
